At Sal e Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse in Shenandoah, TX, you’re invited to savor a culinary journey rooted in authentic Brazilian tradition. Our story began in the 1980s with four ambitious friends from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, who were passionate about churrasco and warm hospitality. In 1993, they opened the first Sal e Brasa Steakhouse in São José do Rio Preto – SP, with the name “Sal e Brasa” (Salt and Fire) perfectly capturing the essence of a perfect Brazilian barbecue.
From our origins, we’ve expanded across Brazil and, in 2024, proudly introduced Avenida Brazil Brazilian Steakhouse by Sal e Brasa to Texas, USA, in partnership with the existing Avenida Brazil Steakhouse family-owned brand. Our commitment remains: to deliver exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and the rich gaucho tradition that defines every visit to Sal e Brasa.

Part One: The Gourmet Buffet and Salad Bar
Begin your adventure at our expansive gourmet salad bar, boasting over 30 fresh and vibrant ingredients, alongside an array of warming comfort foods. Discover guest favorites like our irresistible crispy Bruleed Bacon, the rich and creamy Lobster and Seafood Bisque, and our chef’s special, house-made Chimichurri sauce. Our comprehensive buffet and salad bar feature over 50 fresh ingredients in total, encompassing crisp vegetables, a selection of fine cheeses, delectable seafood delights, various dressings, and a tempting array of hot dishes. This initial spread provides a perfect prelude to the main event.
Part Two: The Rodizio Grill and Table-Side service
The second part of your experience unfolds as our skilled gauchos, in true Brazilian tradition, bring skewers of various succulent meats directly from the rodizio grill to your table. You’ll savor an endless procession of perfectly cooked beef, pork, lamb, and chicken, sliced fresh before your eyes. These exquisite cuts are beautifully complemented by our family-style sides, including fluffy garlic rice, rich au gratin potatoes, and sweet caramelized bananas.
